Whilst studying at Queenswood Education Centre, Key Stage 4 students focus on core subjects, with some enrichment built in and around this central offer (if appropriate to individual need).

English

Morning and Afternoon Pathway students’ work towards GCSE qualifications in:

• English Language - AQA
• English Literature - AQA

As appropriate to their education needs, some students may instead study:

• AQA Entry Level Step Up to English Qualification.

Maths

Morning and Afternoon Pathway students’ study towards a GCSE qualification in:

• Maths – Edexcel

As appropriate to their education needs, some students may instead study:

• Entry Level Maths

Science

Morning and Afternoon Pathway students’ study towards a GCSE qualification in:

• Combined Science (Trilogy) – AQA

As appropriate to their education needs, some students may instead study:

• Entry Level Certificate in Science – AQA  Single or Double Award 

In addition to this core offer, students may be offered the opportunity to work towards Arts Award, participate in PHSE lessons, Communication and Skillbuilder sessions in addition to other targeted enrichment eg Unit Awards in gardening and photography.
